Honor of Students
- In November 2024, Chen Wen-Zhun, a second-year master’s student in the Instrument Design and Engineering Track of the Music Industry Program, was granted three invention patents, including one for wind instrument expansion components.
- On December 4, 2024, the National Institute of Education held the award ceremony and presentation for the “2024 Chinese Language Proficiency Standards Application Guidelines and Corpus Application Competition.” Students from the Department of Applied Chinese performed outstandingly, emerging as the biggest winners of the competition. Current students of the department won a total of three awards, including 1st Place in the “Comprehensive Division” and 3rd Place and Merit in the “Digital Teaching Materials Division.” Alumni also received 2nd Place in the “Testing Division” and 3rd Place in the “Comprehensive Division.”
- Jiang Mei-Xuan (Mi-Xian), a master’s student in the Music Industry Program, participated in the 2024 Taoyuan Hakka Music Festival and won 1st Place in the Pop Composition Division with her Hakka-language song “Dream of the Sunrise”.
- Jiang Yu-Jie, a student of the Department of Special Education, was awarded the “2024 Chung Yuan Christian University Student Research Project and Creative Research Award,” advised by Professor Chen Yan-Wei.
- Luo Jia-Min, a student of Class 4A in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, was awarded 1st Place in the Four Schools & Five Colleges English Reading Competition in the 2024 academic year.
- Chen Yi-Jing, a teacher education student majoring in Biology, was awarded the Excellence Award in Student Teaching Practicum in 2022, advised by Professor Yang Kun-Yuan.
- Zhang Tong-Ya, a student of Class 4B in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, was awarded 3rd Place in the English Oral Competition at the 10th Cross-Strait, Hong Kong, and Macau University Students’ Vocational Skills Competition in 2023, advised by Professor Song Zheng-Bang.
- Li Ting-Fang, a student of Class 3B in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, was awarded the Judges’ Award in the Applied Foreign Languages Division of the 2023 Nantai Cup National Vocational College English Reading Competition, advised by Professor Wu Shuo-Yu.
- Ye Rou-Yi and Huang Pei-Zhen, students of Class 4A in the Department of Applied Chinese, were awarded the Holistic Excellence Honor Award in the 2023 academic year.
- Huang Pei-Zhen (Class 4A) and Zheng Ya-Yun (Class 4B) from the Department of Applied Chinese were awarded the Holistic Benchmark Award in the 2023 academic year.
- Liu Miao-Xing, a second-year master’s student from Hong Kong in the Graduate Institute of Religious Studies, was awarded the Outstanding Academic and Conduct Certificate by the Overseas Community Affairs Council.
- Zhuang Shu-Qiao, a teacher education student majoring in Chinese, was awarded the Model Student Teaching Practicum Award in 2022, advised by Professor Lin Jun-Hong.
- Lin Yi-An, a teacher education student majoring in Guidance and Counseling, was awarded the Excellence Award for Student Teaching Practicum in 2022, advised by Professor Chang Shu-Hui.
- Cheng You-Tai, a student of the “Educational Administration Group” in the Doctoral Program of the Department of Business Administration and Principal of Taoyuan Zhongshan Elementary School, completed his doctoral dissertation defense in the second semester of the 2022 academic year, becoming the first doctoral graduate of the Graduate Institute of Curriculum and Instruction.
- Zhang Tong-Ya and Zhang Pin-Jie, students of Class 3B in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, were awarded 1st Place and 2nd Place, respectively, in the English Oral Competition at the 9th Cross-Strait, Hong Kong, and Macau University Students’ Vocational Skills Competition in the 2022 academic year.
- Zhou Zi-Qiang, a student of Class 4A in the Department of Applied Chinese, was awarded 2nd Place in the College Division of the 2022 University of the West of England Art and Design Competition.
- Chen Ji-Zhen, a student of Class 3B in the Department of Applied Chinese, was awarded 2nd Place in the College Division of the 21st National Joint Essay Competition in 2022.
- The Department of Special Education, in collaboration with the Department of Mechanical Engineering Student Associations, organized a service-learning elementary school camp and was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Group Category of the Chung Yuan University Holistic Care Award in the 2022 academic year.
- Wu Jia-Yu, a second-year student in the Master’s Program in Music Industry, composed the yangqin piece “Longtail Mountain Lady”, which was awarded 6th Place in the “New Works Competition” of the China Yangqin High-End Forum – Lehai Feixiang in the 2022 academic year.
- Huang Shang-Fang, a student of the Graduate Institute of Curriculum and Instruction, participated in the selection for the “111th Excellent Teacher Education Master’s and Doctoral Thesis Award” organized by the Editorial Board of the Journal of Teacher Education and Professional Development at National Changhua University of Education and was awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2022 academic year.
- Wang Shu-Rong, an alumna of the 107 Master’s Program of the Graduate Institute of Religious Studies, was awarded both the “Best Community Program Award” and the “Community Program Host Award” at the 57th Golden Bell Awards in the 2022 academic year.
- Peng Hong-Zhen, a teacher education student majoring in Chinese, was awarded the Excellence Award in Teaching Practicum in the 2021 academic year, advised by Professor Lin Jun-Hong.
- Zhang Zhen-Song, a doctoral student in the “Educational Administration Group” of the Department of Business Administration, passed the Taoyuan City Principal Selection and will serve as the Principal of Xinwu Bengang Elementary School in the 2022 academic year.
- Huang Yi-En (Department of Applied Foreign Languages), Chen Wei-Han (Department of Applied Chinese), and Hong Fang-Jun (Department of Special Education) were awarded the Holistic Excellence Honor Award in the 2020 academic year.
- Wu Ling-Wei, a student of Class 2A in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, was awarded 1st Place in the English Oral Competition at the 7th Cross-Strait University Students’ Vocational Skills Competition and Innovation Achievement Exhibition in the 2020 academic year.
- Fu Yu-Xuan, a student of Class 2B in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, participated in the 2021 Taoyuan City English Elite Cup – Professional English Dictation and Vocabulary Competition and was awarded the Individual Champion in the Workplace and Daily Life Application Category of the Professional English Listening Group, as well as the Teacher Guidance Award.
- Zhong Sheng-Wei, a student of Class 4A in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, was awarded the Gold Brain Award in the Education Category of the Professional English Vocabulary Group at the 2021 New Taipei City Professional English Dictation and Vocabulary Competition.
- Hong Yi-Rong, a student of Class 4A in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, was awarded the Gold Brain Award in the Business and Management Category of the Professional English Vocabulary Group at the 2021 New Taipei City Professional English Dictation and Vocabulary Competition.
- Liu Guan-Xuan, a student of Class 3A in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, passed the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 level in the 2020 academic year.
- Wu Xiang-Rong, a student of Class 2B in the Department of Applied Chinese, was awarded 3rd Place in the New Poetry Category of the Chung Yuan University Pu-Jen Gang Literary Award in 2021.Huang Pei-Zhen, a student of Class 1A in the Department of Applied Chinese, received an Honorable Mention in the Prose Category of the same award.
- Cai Yi-Zhen, a third-year Master’s student at the Graduate Institute of Religious Studies, was awarded the 2020 Master’s Thesis Theology Research Award by the Zhou Lian-Hua Pastor Memorial Foundation for her thesis “The Authentic Language of the Underground Church: A Reconstruction of Zhou Lian-Hua’s Theology of the I Ching”, receiving a scholarship of NT$50,000.
- Chen Ting-Yan, a student of the Department of Applied Chinese, was awarded the University Holistic Model Student Award in the 2019 academic year.Li Xiu-Lin (Department of Applied Foreign Languages), Chen Ting-Yan (Department of Applied Chinese), and Pan Si-Yi (Department of Special Education) were awarded the Holistic Excellence Honor Award.
- Gao Yu-Mei, a student of Class 3B in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, and Xu Ya-Ying, a student of Class 2B, were awarded 4th Place and 1st Place, respectively, in the Four-City Five-School English Reading Competition in the 2019 academic year.
- Ke Fan-Rou, a student of Class 4B in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, was selected as a recipient of the 17th “Uni-President Digital Translation Scholarship” (Japanese-to-English, Travel Category) in the 2019 academic year, advised by Professor Chang Pin-Ling.
- You Ying-Zhu, a student of Class 4A in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, was awarded the 2020 Outstanding College Youth Award.Li Xiu-Lin, a student of Class 4B in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, was awarded the Holistic Excellence Honor Award in the 2019 academic year.
- In the 2020 National Chung Hsing University Translation Awards, Wei Min, a student of Class 4B in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, was awarded 1st Place in the Chinese-to-English Translation Category, and Ke Fan-Rou, also a student of Class 4B, received an Honorable Mention in the English-to-Chinese Translation Category.
- Shi Jia-Rou, a student of Class 3 in the Department of Special Education, was awarded the Excellence Award in the 2020 “5th National Professional Ethics Case Competition.”
- Li Chun-Jun, a student of Class 3B in the Department of Applied Chinese, was awarded 1st Place in the 2020 “Super Reading Classics – Problem-Solving Autonomous Learning Competition” for her work titled “How to Save the Sun Wukong in My Heart Through Teaching Methods”, advised by Professor Xiang Hong-Quan.
- Li Yi, a student of Class 4B in the Department of Applied Chinese, was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Short Story Category (Student Division) of the 2019 Ministry of Education Literary Creation Award for her short story “Meaning”, advised by Professors Liang Jun-Quan and Xiang Hong-Quan.
- The Research Center for Christianity and Chinese Culture and Society was awarded the First-Class Academic Research Center Award in the University Evaluation in the 2019 academic year.
- You Ying-Zhu and Liu Yong-Ting from the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, and Chen Ting-Yan from the Department of Applied Chinese, were awarded the Holistic Excellence Honor Award in the 2018 academic year.
- Ji Ke-Pei, a student of Class 3B in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, was awarded 1st Place in the Impromptu Category of the Four-City Five-School English Speech Competition.Yu Chun-Ling, a student of Class 2A, was awarded 2nd Place in the Prepared Speech Category.Guo You-Min, a student of Class 4A, was awarded 3rd Place in the Impromptu Category.

- Li Peng (Class 2A, Department of Applied Chinese) and her advisor, Professor Xiong Yu-Wen, were awarded the Excellence Award in the Prose Category of the 2018 “Numbers in Literature Creative Competition” for General Universities in the 2018 academic year.
- Wang Zhen-Yun (Class 4A, Department of Applied Chinese), Chen Jun-Yun (Class 4B, Department of Applied Chinese), and the joint team from the Department of Finance and the Department of Financial and Economic Law were awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2019 L&L Cup Intercollegiate Civic Action Proposal Competition for “Participating in Education Reform – Proposing Your Own Integrated Learning Plan” in the 2018 academic year.

- The team led by Zhang Yu-Wen, a student of Class 3B in the Department of Applied Chinese, was awarded First Prize in the Central Regional Session of the 2018 Education Golden Image Award Short Film Teaching Workshop.
