Activity Description:
In mid-May, the College of Humanities and Education hosted the “Connecting Knowledge and Passing the Torch” book donation event in Room 618, College of Human Development. Faculty members contributed unused textbooks, books, and journals for students in need to support knowledge transfer, resource sharing, and social interaction. Donations were accepted from May 12 to May 16, during which faculty generously donated various books and magazines. After sorting and categorizing, approximately 216 items were collected.

The book distribution opened on May 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Student association members and college office student assistants took turns managing the distribution. All students and staff could select books they liked and write a thank-you card to express gratitude, which the office compiled and delivered to the donating faculty.

In total, 10 thank-you cards were sent and around 60 books were distributed. This event aimed to cultivate good character traits such as helpfulness and gratitude while promoting environmental awareness and intellectual property respect. The college also hopes to expand this event in the future to involve the entire university, allowing more faculty and students to participate and share the joy of knowledge.
